What is the population of Japan?

The population of Japan as of July 2013 is 127,253,075 (The World Factbook). Compare this to the population of the United States, which is 316,668,567 as of July 2013--Japan's population is roughly 40% the size of the United States' population.


Where do the people live in Japan?

People in Japan live in both rural and urban areas, as Japan has its share of small country towns and huge sprawling metropolises. The largest city is Tokyo, with a population of 13,185,502, and the second largest city is Yokohama, with a population of 3,697,894. (Wikipedia)
